Book Review: Night, Night Train

Night, Night Train by Amy Parker is such a cute book intended for toddlers.  Parker combined together what most young boys love into one book- trains and puppies.  In this board book, a family of puppies goes through a bedtime routine as they prepare to sleep for the night.  The routine is on every similar to what the toddler would do- bathing, getting pajamas on, brushing teeth, and prayers.  It is the absolute perfect book to read at night to a 2-5 year old.

Night, Night Train is a very engaging book in that the illustrations by Virginia Allyn are vibrant and detailed.  Each drawing contains a lot for the young eyes to look at. Bold and beautiful colors make the drawings very appealing.

The book is sturdy with thick pages that won’t rip easily.  I strongly see it turning into a family book that will be cherished for many years if not decades.
