Book Review: Hello Stars

The book Hello Stars is written by a mother and daughter: Alena and Wynter Pitts.  It is a paperback, fictional story based off of a 12 year old girls journey into the acting profession.  I was a little hesitant to read this book because I don’t quite care for the path of show and fame and the story is about just that.  However, I found the book to be one that I would encourage a young girl to read for the fact this journey is described with prayer and seeking of the Lord.  The girl in the story spends a lot of time praying by writing letters to God.  I find this to be a great prayer strategy that hopefully tween girls who read the book will be encouraged to do.

Overall I found the book, Hello Stars, to be cute, encouraging, and a book that a girl with a similar identifying faith would enjoy.  This would be a perfect read for the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grader- but probably a fairly quick read for anyone older even though the book is about a 12 year old girl.  I would say it is a book that any tween girl who is interested in reading could read in couple of days.
