My Calendar

Over the years I have gotten into the habit of keeping a calendar of events. Using various methods of either writing notes, writing in a pocket calendar or most recently putting everything into my phone calendar that is shared with family members.

Most of the time the events in my calendar come and go without interruption. When the events pass without interruption I reflect back and know that it is not by my planning that I was able to accomplish what I wrote down. It was only by “God’s Will” that I was given the time and ability to accomplish what was written.

Sometimes things do not go as planned. As they did today when a winter storm kept me at home and prohibited my travel to planned events and destinations. Once again I know that it was “God’s Will” that kept me off of the roads today. “Gods Will” kept many at home today to stay safe and sound and out of harms way.

When somebody asks what I am doing on a specific date? I look at my calendar and know that if the Good Lord is willing I will be doing ……… that day. But it may change and I will not question why. It is “God’s Will”.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” proclaims Psalm 106:1
