The book: The Beginner’s Bible Stories About Jesus wasn’t quite what I expected it to be. I expected it to be more of a Bible for kids at the “just learning how to read” level. I was hoping it was an actual Bible – but a very simplified version.
This book fits more of the category to ages 1-3 I feel. It is a board book of roughly 20 pages. It is made more for adults to read to the very young children- instead if for beginning readers to read on their own. Although the stories are short, it doesn’t use very many easy sight word that young readers would have an easy time reading.
Even though the book wasn’t what Ibhad quite expected, I still think it is a good book. The illustrations are vibrant, the stories are engaging, and it would be a great book for toddlers to enjoy.
I received this book through BookLookBloggers.com in exchange for an honest review.
