Transforming a Transgender World

We live in a deceived world where many sins are becoming socially acceptable – sexual preferences that are backwards in my book, such as gay and lesbian patterns are seen as ok to many.  Now the act of transgenderism is becoming accepted with the allowance of others in bathrooms initially unintended for them.  Pornography, adultery, and drunkkness are embraced in some social aspects of society.

Will the world turn corners to where acts such as rape and murder will become acceptabled and no longer punishable?  Will it soon be socially acceptable to marry your brother or sister, have sex with animals?  What will the norm of the future look like?

Many sins are commited every day, every second.  Many are committed by Christians.  I am a Christian, and I admit, I sin every day – because I am human. However I work to repent.

In my opinion, sin is sin.  I don’t know that God sits up in Heaven and gauges each sin on a ranking level- rating one as worse than another.  Romans 8:12 says, “Therefore brothers, we have an obligation – but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will love.”

What I do think is that God looks at the heart of the sinner.  God looks at if the sinner has any guilt in the sin, and intention of changing, any act of repentance to change their patterns.  Does the person realize he or she is even sinning?  Does the person not even recognize the act as a sin?

Christians shouldn’t walk around looking down on others, as if they are high and mighty and better than others.  Yes, Christians have a God who is high and mighty but God loves everyone just the same – with an unconditional love.

As Christians we are called to love as God loves – unconditionally. John 15:17 days,”This is my command: love each other.”  We need to love the transgenders, the gays, the lesbians, the murders, and the rapists – because by loving as God loves will display and show God’s power to them.

Now, by loving people, that does NOT mean that we are accepting their sins as ok.  Sins still should not be condoned.  People need to be kept accountable for their actions.  How will our world look without the condoning of sin?  Lying, cheating, stealing becomes acceptable?

As Christians we need to take a stand and keep others accountable and in check pertaining to sins.  We need to stand up and say that the transgender act is wrong, pornography is wrong, lust, lying, etc is wrong.

I feel just as important is proclaiming what IS RIGHT such as truth, honesty, love, patience, etc.  Christians NEED to display God’s love.  God’s love includes disciplining for  sins.

God’s love also knows people can change – can repent. God’s love entourages others in a positive way and builds them up.

Let’s work to transform the transgender and sinful world.  Encourage someone today.  Pray for someone.  Search your own heart and repent of your sins daily.  Take a stand for what is right.  Speak the truth.  Live the truth.  Show the truth with love.

Blessings, Erin
